Serving Our Schools

A simple way to enter into service for congregations is to partner with neighborhood schools. Limited budgets, resources and manpower provide plenty of opportunities to serve, and schools are a natural convening place for communities. It has been wonderful to see partnerships start up and hear about those that have flourished over the years in Greater Seattle.

This week we will be spotlighting THREE separate partnership events that took place last weekend with 22 congregations serving 37 schools on the Eastside and Beacon Hill. Two of these events have been ongoing for several years, which inspired groups like the West Seattle CityServe (their first serve day was on August 1st) and made a major impact on their communities.

So, stay tuned to hear what transpired and hopefully you will be inspired to hear how God is moving through his church to bless the cities that he loves.
