Food for Churches

Brothers and Sisters in Jesus,

This week we have just celebrated the single most important event in history. The incarnation of Jesus, his death and resurrection. He has changed everything. He is Risen!

In light of this good news, we wanted to invite you to share in ministry with the Mission. The Church has always been on the forefront of responding to hurting people. Are you aware of people in need in your community? God has opened our eyes to the growing needs across the area, and to a heavier than normal inventory level on some key food items in our distribution center.

We would like to provide food for you to distribute to those in your church or community who are in great need.

As we seek to get this food out to those in need, we know that your church can ensure those receiving the food will do so in the name of Jesus. We are not a food bank, so we have prayed, and are responding to God's leading to contact you, our church friends. We are looking to build a network of churches who are positioning themselves to serve those in need during this crisis, and are looking for churches who can partner with the Mission by picking up food boxes and delivering them to families in need. Or partners who can donate food to go out to those in need.

If you would like to add your name to a list of churches that those in need can reach out to for help, we are developing this list and would like to send people to a local congregation. Can we add your church?

The Mission loves and cares deeply for our homeless neighbors. The Light up the City network is positioned strategically by God around the greater Seattle area, and together we can care for those in great need. We look forward to seeing the ways in which God redeems through this crisis, and how the grace of Jesus and the presence of his Body can bring hope and healing during a time like no other!
