Evangelism in Our City

The book of Matthew ends with Jesus sharing a vision for his disciples. It was the same vision he had when he asked them if they wanted to become, “Fishers of men.” He charged them, as they go along, to make, “Disciples… baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Spirit… teach them to obey my commands.” (Mt. 28:19-20) A disciple is a learner. It is not a point of arrival, but one cannot become a disciple of Jesus if they never hear of him! Paul says, “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed?
