MLK Prayer Breakfast - Recap

Our friends at Urban Impact celebrate the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by hosting an annual prayer breakfast in Seattle. This year’s theme was Reclaiming the Dream: Unity, Justice, Love. Rev Allen Belton and Donnie Griffin, the co-founders of this event, passed the baton to Rev. Harvey Drake and Romanita Hairston-Overstreet. Literally, Allen brought a baton and handed it to them while sharing hope for this work to continue. Pastor Eugene Cho gave a passionate message. Join us for 100 days of Prayer

Prayer has been at the center of the work at Light Up the City since it began in 2014. We hope each of our networks are seeking God’s mission through prayer. We wanted to share about an opportunity to pray for the next 100 days. Our friends at Awaken Seattle have invited us to participate with them in 100 days of prayer from January 5th through April 15th. Awaken Seattle has led the Church in this prayer movement with a collective call to pray for: - Revival of Christians - Reconnecting of churches - Repentance - Redemption - Reconciliation - Restoration - Reign of God over our greater Seattle area The response has been incredible! People and churches around Seattle have been changed
