On May 1st, 26 leaders from several Seattle churches participating in the Alpha Course travelled to London to attend an Alpha Global Leadership Conference. When they arrived they joined 6,000 other Alpha leaders from all over the world for three days of worship, inspiring messages and workshops at the Royal Albert Hall. Brave: Your Story Matters
Last Saturday, May 20th, 35 teen girls in foster care and some of their foster moms gathered at the White Center Salvation Army community center for a one-day empowerment conference called Brave: Your Story Matters. School & Church Partnerships!
For the past couple of years we have promoted and helped foster school and church partnerships through a simple day of service called CityServe. We have encouraged our networks to help out schools as simple ways to engage their city, again by simply serving one of the most attended and sometimes under-resourced organizations in our community.
