Engaging School Partnerships- Federal Way

For the past year we have been encouraged to see more and more congregations engaging in partnership with local schools. School Partnership was one of the breakout sessions we offered during our Puget Sound City Advance in 2015 and which was inspired by the great work of Jubilee REACH and Northshore's Community Serve Day . Last year we were also excited for West Seattle's CityServe's first serve day which took place at Roxhill and Sanislo Elementary schools. Since then the movement has been growing and we are excited to report that on August 20-21st a potential of over 100 schools will be served by congregations around the Greater Seattle Region. Recently a Seattle Met article touched on a phenomena that is happening in the Pacific Northwest- churches are breaking traditional services and becoming more entrepreneurial, creative and inclusive in their evangelizing the gospel.
